Just how much do we all collectively hate headaches? Raise your hands if you can relate. We know you're raising them, even if we can't see it. So, we thought we'd try to come up with some ways to tackle stress headaches. When the body is under the pressures of stress, headaches can appear automatically. So, let's see if we can find a few effective ways to manage stress headaches. A headache is a condition of mild to severe pain in the head. It can also cause discomfort or pains in the upper back or neck. There are different types of headaches. This article will focus on stress headaches, sometimes known as tension headaches. These headaches are brought on by every day common occurrences during daily life. For instance, they could be brought on by stress, by looking too long at a computer screen, or from excessive or loud constant noise. Healthline writes in their article that, "Extremely loud or prolonged sounds can trigger migraines and other headaches. Any loud noise — from a rock concert to a jackhammer — can set off head pain."

There is a wisdom to the term, "peace and quiet" during this stressful time of global quarantine and stress. One of the many causes of headaches is pent up tension in the muscles of the neck, scalp, and jaw. A common practice to deal with this tension is to fall asleep, to nap, or take over-the counter pain relievers. However, there is a less publicized solution to deal with a stress headache. Obviously, we cannot sleep whenever we want to while working or while running essential and necessary errands. In addition, we might run out of aspirin when headaches strike, and be unable to purchase more immediately during lockdown hours. Don't stress, because we've got a simple, easy, and effective solution! How about a massage? Athletico states just how effective this method of treatment for headaches can be and why.
